Top 10 Sites of the Past Week

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a big fan of making lists—more like a huge fan really. I also spend a lot of my time bookmarking almost every web site I come across. So, for this week’s post I thought I’d combine the two and come up with a list of the top 10 sites of the week. My criteria for the list was simple; I had to enjoy my time on the site. That’s it.
1. The Fucking Weather—This site is simple and makes me laugh. www.thefuckingweather.com
2. This is Why Your Fat—Gross site. Early morning viewing is not recommended. thisiswhyyourefat.com
3. Cake Wrecks—I saw this site a while ago and when I viewed it again this week I laughed so hard I cried. cakewrecks.blogspot.com
4. Can You Dig It?—A friend’s blog that I would enjoy even if we weren’t friends. I liked it so much I bought the book version. gregvandevoorde.blogspot.com
5. Dynastree—This site tracks surnames throughout the US. I’m not sure how accurate it is, but it does make me miss my maiden name. www.dynastree.com
6. Sporcle—Timed quizzes. I hope you have a lot of time, because this site is super addicting. www.sporcle.com/games
7. Web Design Ledger—If you’re an interactive designer, or any designer for that matter, this site is a fantastic reference. webdesignledger.com
8. Brand New—I’ve been reading this site for years and still enjoy it. www.underconsideration.com/brandnew
9. UIE Brain Sparks—I enjoy this site because I am quickly becoming a usability nerd. www.uie.com/brainsparks
10. The Sound of Young America—TSOYA is great, but I still prefer the Jordan, Jessie, Go podcast. www.maximumfun.org/listen.htm
